Silver Sage RV Park is surrounded by thousands of acres of BLM land with endless miles of OHV trails and Colorado’s only natural rock crawling park. A stones throw to the east is Kenny Reservoir. Cast a line out, swim, wakeboard, water-ski, or just float the White River as it exits the damn and flows through Rangely. A few minutes to the East you’ll find Cedar Ridges Golf Course, an affordable, well maintained, and challenging nine hole golf course that can be played nearly year round.

Dinosaur National Monument

Head north from the town of Rangely, and you will discover Dinosaur National Monument where Dinosaurs once roamed. Their remains are still visible today embedded in the surrounding rocks. Take a scenic drive up to Harpers Corner in the Monuments “Canyon Country” and gaze over the dramatic vistas. Watch the brilliant color displays as the sun passes overhead and sets in the west. It’s no wonder why they call it the mini-Grand Canyon. Head west to the “Fossil Quarry” where you can view an 80-foot long indoor mural displaying over 1,500 dinosaur bones lying in their natural state for over 140 million years!

Canyon Pintado National Historic District

Just south of Silver Sage RV Park, on highway 139, is the Canyon Pintado National Historic District which includes hundreds of archaeological sites, most deriving from the Fremont culture.

Take a drive and explore the eight interpretive exhibits along the highway’s scenic byway.

Rock Crawling

Visit Rangely Rock Crawling Park, Colorado’s ONLY designated natural rock crawling park located just a few miles southwest of Silver Sage RV Park.

With 560 acres of natural terrain ranging from easy to extreme, rock crawling enthusiasts can take on trails such as the Megasaurus, Chain Break, Poison Ivy and Willy’s Way.

OHV / Jeep Trails

Surrounding Rangely, Colorado is the Wagon Wheel West OHV Trail system offering more than 360 miles of off road thrills. Trail difficulty ranges from mild to wild.

Trails are easily accessible from Silver Sage RV Park and the town of Rangely is proud to be an “OHV Friendly” community.

Golf

Ideally situated on rolling hills overlooking the town of Rangely is Cedar Ridges Golf Course. Cedar Ridges is a challenging, affordable, well-maintained 9 hole golf course.

This beautiful course offers amenities such as a pro shop, snack bar, a practice putting and chipping green and driving range.

Fishing Kenney Reservoir

Kenney Reservoir

Kenney Reservoir is the perfect place to cool off during the hot summer months or ice fish during the wintertime.

A short 5 minute drive east of the town of Rangely brings you to the reservoir where you can swim, fish, cliff dive, have a picnic or bring your boat to go waterskiing.

Float the White River

Grab your raft, tube, canoe or kayak and float the many miles of the White River as it exits the dam and meanders through the town of Rangely.

In keeping with the adventurous spirit and welcoming nature of the area, permits are not required to run the river.

Mountain Biking

Rangely has miles of mountain bike trails for both slick rock and trail riding, beginner to expert. Whether you are looking to ride a couple of hours or the entire day on an epic ride, we have it all.

There is a scenic byway bike route can be taken from  the town of Rangely all the way to Harpers Corner in Dinosaur National Monument.

Hunting

Rangely, Colorado is located in the White River valley and is home to trophy big game hunting and one of the largest elk herds in North America. Big, beautiful wide open spaces make it possible to encounter  animals as varied as  mule deer, antelope, mountain lion, black bear, coyote, pronghorn, turkey and dove.
